Bring out the new year!!..
My friends and colleagues were talking about their New Year plans and resolutions. One friend turned to me and asked if I had any? I uncertainly answered to finish the book that I’m currently reading😅. I hadn’t really given it much thought 🤔. It was time to grab some paper and do some deep soul-searching.
I didn’t write down things that I forgot to do in 2018, cause I had planned them in 2017 and was actually supposed to do them in 2016, cause I initially wrote them in 2015 (That was quite a tongue twister😅).
I was done with the typical year in, year out resolutions like go to the gym (I go once a year) or eat healthier (am allergic to vegetables), or read more books (YouTube is my best friend)..😛. This time I came up the list of how to better certain areas of my life. I was pleased with my list cause this are things I manage most…well…almost half or it 😅.
My tiny little resolutions;
I do travel a lot but I should do it a lot more. Why not use my God-given chance to visit more places. My friend (@keepmymemoirs) and I have already started putting money aside for some trips. Am really happy about it, a resolution already taking shape and size😁. Some suggested trips lined up for this year are Canary islands, Tomorrowland in Brussels and Java in Indonesia (I’m looking forward to Java, it’s a very beautiful place with so much to do). Hopefully, see you there!👋🏾👋🏾
Since I discovered my allergy to the gym and vegetables😆, I try compensating by eating a lot of fruits (mangoes 😋), going for long walks and drinking water. I usually drink five to six glasses a day and I plan to drink more. Water has a lot of health benefits but it’s just so hard to drink. Why can’t it taste like a soft drink or a beer? 😅With water, you have to make a daily and mental habit to drink it or put additives like sugar syrup to make it taste better. The last option works better for me😊. Eight glasses here I come! 👋🏾
Firstly, I would like to apologize to John Grisham, Jo nesbo and Charles Dickens (all books in my mini library) for keeping you waiting for the last six months, YouTube is very addictive 😂. Reading is my favorite hobby, I’ll try to come up with a schedule to read more. 🤓
I tend to do that a lot, keep things pending; it’s very human of us. Why do it now, when I can also do it tomorrow?
It’s a very bad habit, I keep my books, blog, plans…a lot of things pending, then they pile up. I don’t have much hope for this one, but they say when you acknowledge your problem or mistake, then that’s the first step towards change! 😌
My friends and family always tell me am very poor at keeping a text conversation going 😅. Sometimes I give up in the middle and directly call them. I find phone conversations easy, convenient and direct. I’ll try my best! Please don’t be too hard on me.
